Microsoft Word (.doc,.docx) and Rich text format (.rtf)
Microsoft Word is the most common and preferred format in which we receive manuscripts. Manuscripts submitted as .doc, .docx and .rtf files are edited using the "Track Changes" tool of MS Word. The edited manuscripts are delivered along with all the track change mark ups to indicate where changes have been made to the document.
Acrobat Reader file (.pdf)
Manuscripts submitted in PDF format are converted to MS Word files and edited using the track change tools of MS Word. The edited version in MS Word format with all the track change mark ups to indicate where changes have been made to the document. An additional fee of 15% will be charged for this service.
Microsoft Excel (.xls)
Manuscripts submitted in .xls format will be simply corrected and updated because at present there is no track change option or any other tool to format these files. Major changes if necessary will be inserted using notes.
LaTex and TeX (.tex)
We handle LaTeX files as well. The .tex source files submitted along with LaTeX files are first converted to Microsoft Word and then edited conventionally using the track change tools and delivered to the client with all the track changes ON. We charge 15% additional fee for this service.
Image Files(.jpg,.gif,.png,.bmp and .tiff)
The images are generally not edited but if the legends and embedded texts require editing, they are suggested using notes.
Text files (.txt)
Text files are first converted to Microsoft Word files followed by editing using the conventional track change tools of MS Word. The edited manuscripts are delivered along with all the track change mark ups to indicate where changes have been made to the document.
Microsoft PowerPoint (.ppt)
Microsoft Power Point (.ppt) files are edited using comment tool or deleted using strikethrough tool and inserting texts in the conventional way.
