Geopolymer-wood composites (GWC) are green alternatives to cement bonded wood composites. They have better fire resistance, humidity resistance, mechanical strength and thermal conductivity than cement bonded wood composites. They also protect wood from fungal and insect damages. GWC properties depend on wood and geopolymer ratio, wood species and fly ash particle size.
