Orchid Platanthera ciliaris medicinal uses

While the Yellow Fringed Orchid (Platanthera ciliaris) is primarily known for its ornamental value and presence in natural ecosystems, there is limited historical use in traditional medicine by some indigenous cultures.

The Native Americans—particularly the Cherokee and the Seminoles—used this flower and its roots for medicinal purposes, such as treating digestive problems, headaches and snakebites.
