Yoga Therapy May Improve Heart Function and Quality of Life in Heart Failure Patients

New research shows that yoga therapy can be used as a complementary treatment in the management of heart failure. The study, conducted by researchers from the Indian Council for Medical Research, found that heart failure patients who received yoga therapy in addition to standard medical treatment had significant improvements in left ventricular systolic function and quality of life.

Yoga is a mind-body practice that combines physical postures, breathing exercises, and meditation. It has been shown to have many health benefits, including reducing stress, improving blood pressure and cholesterol levels, and increasing flexibility and strength.
