New Method Developed to Predict Stroke Risk After Brain Surgery

This is the first study to develop machine learning models to predict stroke risk from lab test data. The results are promising and suggest that machine learning could be used to develop a clinical decision support system to assist physicians in identifying patients at high risk of stroke. This could lead to earlier prevention and treatment of stroke, which could save lives and reduce the economic burden of the disease.
