A sentence with two or more main clauses joined by a COORDINATING CONJUNCTION. Example of compound sentences are:
Then he came in and she sat down quickly.
MAIN CLAUSE COORDINATING CONJUNCTION MAIN CLAUSE.
Either you agree with it or you don’t agree with it.
COORDINATING CONJUNCTION MAIN CLAUSE COORDINATING CONJUNCTION MAIN CLAUSE.
